c/2=a, a/2=b, so c/4=b if profit for one period be xthen profit of a=2xb=xc=4x now multiplying these by the respective periods we got,b=4xa=8xc=4x so equation is 4x 8x 4x=44000 x=2750 Profit of A B=4x 8x=33000

The portion with 10% interest X. The portion with 8% interest is then 3000-X Total interest is 10*X/100 + (3000-X)*8/100. This is equal to 256. 10*X/100 + (3000-X)*8/100 = 256. solving the eqn we get X=800. INVESTED AMOUNT IN 10% INTEREST IS $ 800 REMAINIG $ 2200 HE INVESTED IN 8% INTEREST.
