Subject : Generalization vs Specialization
Which is better generalization or specialization

specialised skills are very essential as it shows the expertise and competitive edge of a person. it diffentiates one person\'s abilities from another. but todays corporate firm in any country follows the concept of \'dejobbing\' where employers expect that their employees donot restrict themselves in a particular area of specialisation. in the time of contingency, the firm expects even the finance person to handle hr or vice versa. thus, specialisation is important but generalization has an edge over it according to me.

pragya says : 03/03/2012 10:54:53
not all but some institutes are trying to improve the education system by providing better facilities of learning
Dev says : 12/04/2012 19:11:10
here we are talking about better facilities even parents are convinced that their child will be getting good exposure and everything to get knowledge but that is not happening. Instead students are just chasing for marks some how they are devising techniques to score more and to learn less. I hhad some frnds who actually wanted to study particular topic in detail but ws convinced by one of the teachers that it wont be asked in that detail in the exam so just focus on exam and how to get more marks. Thus gaining knowledge is lost somewhere in the midst of this race to score more and more.

ya !! actually i agree with thatbut nowadays some private schools in metro cities take initiatives to provide practical knowledges
Dev says : 12/04/2012 19:07:56
It has become a form of business in India. Students are getting lots of mateial to study or more specifically to mug up things to store as many things in mind as possible instead fo allowing them to think about things by themselves . students are being fed with already cooked up information that they are not able to have their own perception about anything. But that is the fault of education system prevailing in india which promotes only the high marks getting student in every aspects. Infact marks ought not be the entire basis for judging the intelligence and potential of a student.
